Out in the Community

We've always sold well in the UK and Internationally, via various selling platforms, and this was no different in 2020.  Covid had trapped people in their houses, unable to go on holiday, go shopping or even go for a walk. We'd been selling Jigsaw Puzzles in our shop since 2009, not always been the most popular of product, but had a strong niche market following, and now they were having a resurgence.  But now was not the time to open a shop and wait for the customers to arrive, we had to deliver the products direct to the customers, this achieved with the help of the key-working delivery companies still delivering door to door.  The country started to reopen in 2021, but it was clear that our customer demographic were the people still staying at home, the most venerable, unable to pop to the shop for a Jigsaw Puzzle.  Lockdown had been difficult, isolating the very people at the heart of our business, in past years we were able to visit a local assisted living or care homes, serving the people who couldn't drive to the supermarket, pop to the co-op or even wander down for a newspaper.  This year we've set a target to rebuild our local connections within the community, visiting homes within our immediate area, spending more time with our customers, and making our product more accessible.
